A supplemental Battlefield team dissolves in the wake of EA's buy.
Electronic Arts confirmed today that it has closed Ontario-based Digital Illusions Canada, one of the Swedish developer's satellite offices. The closure comes as EA this week finalized its purchase of Digital Illusions CE (or DICE), creators of the Battlefield franchise.
The Canadian studio housed around 25 staff members, which, EA explained, may now transfer to DICE's Stockholm office or seek positions elsewhere in EA's system of studios.
Digital Illusions Canada focused on developing booster packs for Battlefield titles. That work will now be moved to Stockholm.
