PRESIDENT
John Trobough is the president of Narus. John brings more than 20 years of operations and international experience in the telecommunications and mobile software industries to the company. He is leading the Narus team to establish its cyberinnovation presence in Silicon Valley and is dedicated to delivering the next generation of machine-learning software with a focus on Cyber 3.0, where the semantic web and cyber intersect.
Prior to joining Narus, John was president of Teleca USA, a leading supplier of software services to the mobile device communications industry. He also held executive positions at Openwave Systems, a company that pioneered the development of the mobile Internet. He led Openwave's Mobile Business Unit, which was instrumental in defining the next generation of WAP mobile data and location gateways that are in existence today. He also held senior management positions at Sylantro Systems, AT&T and Qwest Communications. John co-founded Gravitate, a company that created location-based, peer-to-peer applications and services.
John is an advisor and board member to several early-stage technology companies, and is an active advisory board member to the Washington State University Entrepreneurship and Engineering departments. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Washington State University, College of Business and Economics.
DR. ANTONIO NUCCI
CHIEF TECHNology OFFICER
Dr. Antonio Nucci is the chief technology officer of Narus and is responsible for setting the company's direction with respect to technology and innovation. He oversees the entire technology innovation lifecycle, including incubation, research, and prototyping. He also is responsible for ensuring a smooth transition to engineering for final commercialization.
Prior to joining Narus, Antonio was a principal member of the technical staff in the Advanced Technology Laboratories for Sprint Nextel. Antonio also held positions at Nortel and Motorola as a technical collaborator. Antonio has published more than 100 technical papers and has been awarded 38 U.S. patents. He authored a book, Design, Measurement and Management of Large‐Scale IP Networks Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice, in 2009 on advanced network analytics. In 2007 he was recognized for his vision and contributions with the prestigious Infoworld CTO Top 25 Award. In 2013, Antonio was honored by InfoSecurity Products Guide's 2013 Global Excellence Awards as "CTO of the Year" and Gold winner in the "People Shaping Info Security" category. He served as a technical lead member of the Enduring Security Framework (ESF) initiative sponsored by various U.S. agencies to produce a set of recommendations, policies, and technology pilots to better secure the Internet (Integrated Network Defense). He is also a technical advisor for several venture capital firms.
Antonio holds a Ph.D. in computer science, and master's and bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy.
Robert JACOBSEN
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Robert Jacobsen is the chief financial officer of Narus and a member of the senior management team. He oversees the execution of corporate financial strategies and initiatives, policy development, and operational execution. In partnership with the president, Robert helps mitigate key elements of the Narus risk profile and maintain organizational alignment with the strategic plan and communication with Boeing.
Robert has more than 20 years of financial management experience in the aerospace and defense industries. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Northridge and a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California.
YOUSEF YACOUB
SVP, ENGINEERING
Yousef Yacoub is Narus' senior vice president of Engineering, responsible for leading the global engineering organization to deliver innovative products and solutions to market. Yousef is a veteran in Silicon Valley's software industry who is particularly effective in leading global organizations to drive innovation, process improvements, and organizational transformation. He held several leadership roles at Deutsche Bank, Dell, Sun Microsystems, and Apple.
Yousef has led organizations in software development, ISV and developers' technical support, OEM support, and systems engineering. He has driven technology adoption, built ecosystems, led solution development, and created ISV and partner management programs. He is experienced with direct executive-level engineering relationships with major partners, including Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, SAS, IBM, and Teradata.
Yousef holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Louisiana Tech University and was part of the Sun Microsystems Leadership Institute. He holds several U.S. patents.
JOE ESKEW
HEAD OF GLOBAL SALES
Joe Eskew is the head of global sales at Narus. Joe has more than 20 years of demonstrated success in worldwide sales leadership for both start-up and large organizations. Joe is responsible for leading Narus' worldwide sales force and overseeing strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining Narus, Joe was the vice president, Worldwide Sales, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for Oracle. Joe also served as vice president, Worldwide Sales for the Gateways Division of Citrix Systems, where he led the integration of security solutions into the existing customer base. He developed new customers in the fast-growing SSL/VPN market, and leveraged security customers into other Citrix solutions. Joe has held numerous senior-level sales executive positions with Inxight Software, Network Associates, and IBM.
Joe holds an MBA from the University of Southern California.
LEE DAWSON
SVP, PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Lee Dawson is the senior vice president of Professional Services at Narus. Lee is responsible for execution of the Narus professional services strategy, as well as the development and delivery of post-sales professional services such as installation, deployment, training, on-site support, and strategic business consulting.
Lee is a highly accomplished technology executive with a career spanning strategic and operational roles in wireless technology and strategy, communication software and security, and Internet services. In his previous role as a principal with Ericsson Strategic Consulting, Lee had full responsibility for sales and delivery of strategy consulting engagements with industry leaders across the wireless ecosystem, where he focused on business/product strategy, innovation, and operational excellence. Prior to that, he held senior-level product and operations positions at several technology and services startups and was a key member of the team that brought the first mobile PDAs and phones to market for Microsoft.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.
PRAKASH NAGPAL
SVP, PRODUCT MARKETING & MARKETING
Prakash Nagpal is the senior vice president of Product Marketing, Marketing & Public Relations at Narus. Prakash is responsible for leading Narus product marketing, global marketing and corporate communications strategies.
Prakash has more than two decades of demonstrated success in defining and launching new products and positioning products and companies. Prior to joining Narus, Prakash was responsible for strategy, product, and channel marketing at Actelis Networks, an innovator for ubiquitous broadband delivery. Prakash has held many senior management positions, including general manager of products at Covad Communications, the only nationwide provider of cloud-based unified communications services. Prakash also has managed and established strategic alliances with companies such as Cisco, McAfee, LG-Nortel, and Microsoft.
Prakash earned his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the B.M.S. College of Engineering in Bangalore, India. He has a Master of Science degree in computer science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and an MBA from Cornell University.
MOHAN SADASHIVA
SVP, PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
Mohan Sadashiva is the senior vice president of Product Management. Mohan is responsible for leading the Narus product strategies & product management team. Mohan brings a deep experience in the telecommunications industry, as well as experience in managing large-scale software products and cloud services through the product life cycle. Mohan came to Narus from Intel, where he served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Cloud Services Broker business unit, through the acquisition of Aepona. Mohan was the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Synchronoss where he managed marketing, solution architecture, products and the patent portfolio. Mohan was the Vice President of Products at Trimble where he was responsible for a $100 million on-demand field force solution. Mohan has also served as the Chief Product Strategist at Openwave Systems, where he led engineering, product management and product marketing for platform products, and has held leadership positions at Schlumberger and Nortel.
Mohan holds an MBA from Columbia University and a Master of Science degree in computer science from the Queen's University, Canada.
SHIRISH ANDHARE
GENERAL MANAGER INDIA OPERATIONS
Shirish Andhare is the general manager of Narus' India Operations. Based in Bangalore, Shirish is responsible for driving company initiatives, day-to-day operational management, and direct oversight of Narus' regional R&D efforts.
Shirish is a Silicon Valley veteran with global experience in telecommunications, mobile, and web services. He brings expert knowledge in software development, product management, marketing, and ecosystem build-out in enterprise and service provider markets. Prior to joining Narus, Shirish was the vice president of emerging businesses for BroadSoft, where he conceived, incubated, and launched BroadSoft's third-party applications marketplace for telecommunications service providers. Earlier, as vice president of product and corporate marketing at Sylantro Systems, he spearheaded initiatives leveraging Sylantro's global engineering presence in California, China, and India, establishing Sylantro as a pioneer of Web 2.0-based telecommunications web services and carrier-grade unified communications. As group product manager at Tellme Networks (acquired by Microsoft), he conceived and led the creation of advanced cloud-based services, leveraging the Internet, speech-recognition, and phone. He led engineering development efforts at VMX, Octel, Lucent Technologies, and Vertical Networks.
Shirish holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Texas, and a master's degree in management sciences from Stanford University. He has two patents to his credit.
JOSIE L. PEREZ
SVP, HUMAN RESOURCES
Josie Perez is the senior vice president of Human Resources at Narus, responsible for leading global human resources initiatives. Josie has more than 20 years of human resources generalist management experience, developing and driving global human resources programs, processes, and services in employee relations, staffing and recruiting, benefits plan design, employee training, compensation, legal compliance, executive coaching, and mergers and acquisitions.
Josie has held several senior management positions with global technology companies, from startups to large enterprises in renewable energy, software technology, architecture, contract manufacturing, and healthcare in Silicon Valley.
Josie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University, Malibu.
DIANA GOBLE
DIRECTOR, EXECUTIVE PROGRAM OFFICE
Diana Goble is the director of Narus' Executive Program Office, reporting to the president. Diana leads a team responsible for customer support as well as sales, marketing, and engineering process improvement. Diana also is responsible for a variety of corporate initiatives designed to develop the tools and processes to maintain Narus' leadership position in the industry.
Prior to joining Narus, Diana held engineering and marketing leadership positions at a variety of networking and security companies, including Spirent Communications, where she was responsible for the development of a new enterprise-based network test tool.
Diana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from San Jose State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
