Russia’s Krasnodar region on alert after Domodedovo blast
Governor of Krasnodar region, south Russia, gave instructions to tighten security in the region after Domodedovo blast in Moscow.
He considers the region with four international airports, huge ports and resorts, is an attractive target for terrorist. “We should be on alert and strengthen protection in all directions,” Alexander Tkachov said.
According to him, each should realize that the second Domodedovo may occur in any region of Russia at any time.
Krasnodar region’s airports impose enhanced security measures, ITAR-TASS reported.
As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, a blast rocked international section of Moscow’s Domodedovo airport. The death toll reached 35 people. The number of injured is still rising, at the moment 180 injured are reported.
According to the latest census, Kransodar region’s Armenian population makes 275,000. At least 70,000 Armenians live in the city of Krasnodar. It is the largest Armenian community throughout Russia.
