The ASA Late Model Series Road to Success
Posted February 14th, 2009
With today’s economy making a decision where to race this season can be tough. There are dozens of series and hundreds of local tracks to choose from. Most of us don’t have unlimited funds so that limits the choices for us somewhat, still it is going to cost money to race and you want to make sure you get the best return on your investment.
Stretching the dollar; most teams are looking for something that is affordable but will also get them the experience and recognition that they need to keep on the move in the professional racing circuits. The ASA Late Model Series offers one of the best options with the crate motor platform. These ASALMS Crate Motor/Template bodied cars keep costs down for teams and level the playing field so all teams have the same equipment.
The right place at the right time is also key to climbing the ladder to success; places like Rockingham Speedway, Gateway International Raceway Park, Bristol Motor Speedway, Nashville Super Speedway and other great venues can really stand out on your resume and showcase real talent. The 2009 season has scheduled 30 events within all three divisions.
If you build they will come, The ASA Late Model Series has worked with dozens of developmental teams to help build and refine talent and help them advance into higher levels of professional racing. We are proud to provide a training ground that help teams define who they are and where they are going.
Strength in numbers; The ASA Late Model Series has many great supporting partners and some of these partners are top notch in the industry. Choice Hotels International, GM Performance Parts, Hoosier Racing Tires, K&N Filters, Budget Rentals, Safety Kleen and many other well recognized companies that have shared a partnership with our series for many years because of the commitment of our teams and series.
Lucky Seven – In 2009 we will mark our seventh year of late model racing. The ASA Late Model Series has three divisions that compete throughout the United States. We are well established and have endured and prospered over the years and learned how to keep moving forward in any economic climate. We offer a solid successful platform that has been proven year after year.
The Grass is always Greener on the other side; many tracks and series wanted to graze in the same pastures with their rules packages. This may be one of the most remarkable accomplishments of the series as you look at how many have implemented our rules package as part of their programs. It is absolutely amazing how many tracks and series throughout the country run our rules package and have developed programs to meet our criteria. This is a win, win for all, more cars, more racers, more places to go.
