E. J. Su
From Transformers Wiki
E. J. Su is an artist from Taiwan. Before signing on with IDW Publishing as a comic book artist, he was an artist with Image Comics (where he co-created Tech Jacket with Robert Kirkman) and had done some Transformers art for Hasbro. He left comic books as a career in 2010 to take a job as a full-time industrial designer for a company making cases for mobile phones,[1][2] although he still contributes the occasional piece of Transformers work, such as the covers for The Transformers: The IDW Collection hardcovers.
He does his own sound effects![3]

Notes
- When it was pointed out to Su at BotCon 2009 that his artwork for Doctor Arkeville from Genesis: The Art of Transformers was used at the top of Arkeville's TFWiki page, Su noted that he had never been paid for his Genesis work. This presumably includes the Spike Witwicky/Optimus Prime piece he contributed as well.
- He has claimed to be one of the early conceptual artists for Transformers Animated, in response to a Facebook comment of his Animated Grimlock fan art.
