My main contribution to the project is bug hunting. However, being such a small team, we all contribute in multiple ways, often filling multiple roles at once.

As well as a finder of bugs, I do my best to maintain a positive Clone Drone in the Danger Zone community atmosphere. Moderating the Steam Forums and our Discord are common activities of not only me, but the entire team.

Our Discord in particular has developed into one of the most comfortable places around to discuss everything Clone Drone and Doborog-related. It’s full of friendly and dedicated members who will often take the time to help just about anyone who has a question or issue.

(It’s quite humbling to know this phenomenon is not common to all titles.)

Every fan makes development worth it! Thank you, each and every one of you, genuinely and truly, for believing in us: believing in Clone Drone as an idea, as a video game, and moreover when it comes down to it, just as a piece of art! We very much appreciate it! :)

We’ve had some difficult hurdles along the way, and we all thank you for your understanding. You guys give us a lot of credit as a small team, and believe you me.. that sentiment does not go unnoticed!! :) (It warms our hearts <3 )

The spirit of Clone Drone has always been about having fun. The main question we ask ourselves when adding features is, “Is it fun?” - We don’t always get it perfect, but we do our best to learn, fix what's broken and adapt our approaches with feedback from the players.

Clone Drone in the Danger Zone is just a cool deal all-around. For me, for the team, for Twitch streamers.. It’s one of those cases where I can honestly say, “I'm proud to be part of this!”.

I have a strong feeling Clone Drone is just the start. Here’s hoping Doborog Games will be around for a long time, always providing something interesting and fun for you guys to tootle around on! :D

Clone Drone is finally released!!! Yay! It’s been a blast, and we’ll keep up with its TLC for a while yet!

We’ve endured delays and setbacks over the years, but we have done our best and we’ve hung in there for the duration. It’s thanks to the players, the fans, and the drive you guys give us to keep going!! Thank you, and here’s hoping everyone enjoys their favorite robot-obliteration simulator in 1.0 on Steam and consoles!

I started working on the project back in 2016 and I'd still count myself as one of its biggest fans. I fell in love with the gameplay of the original itch.io release way back when. At the time there was only one Story Mode chapter, and that was it. It’s wild, there wasn’t even an Endless Mode back then, to say nothing of the plethora of additional content we have added since.

Even with only those first ten levels, I played over and over again for hours at a time. I couldn’t believe something so fascinating could exist; the fluidity of the combat was exhilarating, the destruction of the voxels impeccable, the commentators had me in stitches since day 1.

Even now I look at that build and I honestly cannot fathom how far we’ve come even from the magic of that initial experience. Here’s hoping we go a long way as a development team!! I can’t wait to see what we’re doing in as many years from now as when I started. I bet there are wonders yet to behold beyond anyone’s wildest imagination. I can only hope we are part of that wonderment in some small, yet very fun way!!

How did I get here?

I started sending in bug reports after experiencing some crashes. Erik, being an indie dev, actually responded to them!

Over a couple weeks, and at that point still simply being a fan, we were able to iron out some early-on bugs over email. It was a pretty smooth process much to my surprise, and after a little while I was onboard the team!

Why Clone Drone?

I found the entire experience incredibly unique and surprisingly reminiscent of one of my favorite series of all time. It turns out Erik (The creator of Clone Drone, and my boss :P ) is a fan of the Jedi Knight series as well, hehe. It's no wonder Clone Drone drew me in!
