Bashkim Fino

Bashkim Fino (12 October 1962 – 29 March 2021) was an Albanian politician and economist. He served as the 29th Prime Minister of Albania in 1997. He was a member of the Socialist Party (PS). He held other government roles, including as Deputy Prime Minister (1997–1998) and two terms as the Minister of Public Works and Tourism during the 2000s. He was a member of the Albanian Parliament for Fier from 2017 until his death in 2021.

Fino was born in Gjirokastër. He served as the municipality's mayor between 1992 and 1996.

On 29 March 2021, Fino died in Tirana due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Albania. He was 58.[1]
