La présente invention concerne un applicateur (2) destiné à appliquer un produit (P) cosmétique, de maquillage ou de soin sur les cils et/ou les sourcils, comportant un élément d'application (8) comprenant un élément central (10) qui s'étend le long d'un axe longitudinal (X), et des pointes (18) qui sont portées par l'élément central (10) et sont disposées en groupes de pointes (15, 16) à l'intérieur de rangées longitudinales (17, 19), les groupes de pointes (15, 16) étant de préférence espacés uniformément le long des rangées longitudinales (17, 19) et comprenant chacun au moins deux pointes (18), au moins une rangée longitudinale (17) de pointes (18) étant axialement décalée par rapport à la rangée longitudinale (19) consécutive, de telle sorte qu'au moins un groupe de pointes (15) de la rangée décalée (17) occupe la même position axiale qu'un espace (14) sans pointes entre deux groupes de pointes (15, 16) de la rangée (19) consécutive.
