Description
Fiche pour connecteur à coquesPlug for shell connector
The present invention relates to electrical connectors, optical or fluidic or mixed.
Such connectors (electrical, optical or fluidic or mixed) are characterized in that they must all at one time be installed at the end of a cable or pipe carrying the signal, energy or fluid considered . This operation can be tricky and requires access to the inside of the connector, which connector must generally be wrapped in a suitable housing for the manipulation and protection of the operator, in particular against the contact with components under electrical voltage.
La figure 1 schématise un mode de réalisation possible pour un connecteur électrique de l'état de la technique, plus particulièrement pour la fiche (partie mâle) de celui-ci, mais ce mode n'est pas limité aux connecteurs électriques et peut être utilisé dans d'autres réalisations (à savoir optiques, fluidiques ou encore mixtes).FIG. 1 schematizes a possible embodiment for an electrical connector of the state of the art, more particularly for the plug (male part) thereof, but this mode is not limited to electrical connectors and can be used in other embodiments (ie optical, fluidic or mixed).
Such a connector generally comprises a connection block 1 which ensures the electrical and mechanical compatibility with the opposite connector, for example a socket (female part). The block 1 represented is usually composed of two parts (non-differentiated in the representation of FIG. 1), namely a connector element called "interface" and a contact block itself which is insulating and carries the contacts to which the queues are related. However, it is also possible that the block is in a single part that includes both the interface and the contact block. In the following, for simplicity, we will use only the concept of "block" that covers these two possible achievements. Easy access to the contacts of the block 1 is necessary to allow the connection of the connector to the cable 3 in optimal conditions. Once this operation is completed, shells 2A, 2B are united thus protecting the active part of the connector, that is to say the electrical connections between the cable and the contacts, and also allowing its manipulation by an operator. for example connection cycles - disconnection by axial traction on the body of the connector consisting of the two shells when connecting / disconnecting the plug to the socket.
Figure 2 shows a connector according to Figure 1 in its assembled state.
Sommaire de l'inventionSummary of the invention
The connectors are in principle mechanical means intended to be maneuvers to make and break a link, but in the following we will speak, for simplicity, of "connection" cycles instead of "connection - disconnection".
The connection block 1 generally contains many contacts (electrical, optical or fluidic or mixed depending on the application) all of which require the application of a certain force during a connection cycle. In addition, in a manner known in the state of the art, the part 1 can be equipped with a mechanical locking device securing the connection or making it waterproof. The connection of the plug to a socket therefore requires the application of some force by the operator on the shells 2A and 2B, this force to be transmitted to the connection block 1 which must not separate from the shells 2A, 2B even after many manipulations and connection cycles.
In addition, it is common for the connectors to experience accidental forces due to traction on the cable 3. Depending on the type of lock and the situation encountered, the force transmitted from the shells 2A, 2B to the connection block 1 may have axial components, or torsion, or forces composed in all directions of space.
For the reliability of the connector it is therefore essential to ensure a robust connection between the shells 2A, 2B and the connection block 1.
Thus, an object of the invention is to improve the devices known in the state of the art.
More particularly, it is an object of the invention to overcome the aforementioned problems by a simple and inexpensive means.
These objects are achieved by a system according to the invention described below which makes it possible to ensure such a connection in a reliable manner.

Description détaillée des figures
According to a first embodiment of the invention, an interlocking means 5 in the form of protuberance 5 is secured to the block 4 and penetrates or passes through the shell 6A, thus ensuring a robust mechanical connection between the entities by interlocking. The protrusion 5 may be unique, for example in the case where there is another form of connection between 6A and 6B, or it may be present several times on the block 4. In the embodiments of the invention described, it should be understood that the concept block 4 covers, like the concept of block 1 indicated above in relation to the state of the art, the embodiment in which there is an interface element in which is housed a insulating contact block and carrying (pre-mounted or not) contacts and the embodiment in which the interface element and the contact block are one.
In this case, typically, the protrusion can be in two places (180 ° apart) or N regularly distributed locations (3607N) on the circumference of the block.
By way of example, this variant is represented in FIG. 4. In this embodiment, the block 4 'comprises two protuberances 5 and 5' facing each other on each side of the block 4 ', each of said protuberances fitting into one another. shells 6A and 6B.
A reversal of the functions is also possible, namely a protuberance inside a shell (for example 6A) and penetrating into the block 4. Similarly, one can provide several protuberances distributed equidistantly in each shell (eg 6A and 6B) and which enter corresponding holes of block 4.
The protrusion (s) can (may) be of any shape, circular or of polygonal section, smooth cylindrical or with asperities, or "mushroom" as shown in Figure 4, according to the method of assembly and desired mode of action. Depending on its form (s) it (s) can (can) act in several directions as shown schematically in Figure 5. The (or) protrusion (s) may (for example) hold the shells in any directions of stress, for example (A), (B), (C) and (D) and combined solicitations.
According to this variant, this protuberance can then also serve as index to the connector to visualize its orientation in space and provide a connection aid. This visualization is possible, for example, by the emergent shape as represented in FIG. 5 (head 7) and / or by a color contrast between the protuberance 5 (or 5 1 ), its head 7 and the shell 6A (or 6B ).
The protrusion 5 can also be used to receive an active light indicator, such as a light diode for example, to confirm the operator the proper connection of the assembly.
This embodiment is shown in FIG. 6. In such a mode, an electrical circuit 8 is provided to supply the indicator 9 which is integrated in the protrusion 10. As long as the connection is not made, the circuit 8 is open and the indicator is off. At the moment the connection is made, the circuit is closed and the indicator 9 is powered, so it lights up. In this embodiment, the shells are schematically represented and identified by the references 11A and 11B and the connection block is identified by the reference 12.
As a light indicator, it is of course possible to use any luminescent object fulfilling the desired function: bulb, diode, etc.
Of course, it is also possible to use at least one indicator light in the embodiment shown in Figure 4 (in one of the protrusions 5 or 5 'or in both). We can proceed in the same way if there are more than two protuberances, or if the protuberance (s) are located on the hulls.
Avantages des caractéristiques de l'invention:Advantages of the features of the invention:
The protrusion can easily be integrated in the realization of parts, especially in the case of molded plastic part
• Tenue mécanique robuste dans toutes les directions de l'espace• Robust mechanical resistance in all directions of space
