Description
EMBALLAGE POUR OBJETS A EXPEDIER PAR LA POSTE PACKAGE FOR OBJECTS TO BE SHIPPED BY POST
The present invention relates to a packaging suitable for receiving an object, for example a letter, and constituting with it a package, for example a courier, intended to be dispatched or transported, being entrusted to a routing and / or distribution service. , for example a postal service, or a public or private courier service.
Usually, when an object is dispatched, it is placed in a suitable packaging, comprising on its outside face an area for the display or the writing of a destination, in particular an envelope if the object is a letter. The object thus packaged constitutes a parcel on which is affixed a stamp, which was previously purchased from the service provider requested for the delivery both in France and abroad of said parcel, for example a postal service, depending on '' an established tariff. Gluing stamps is tedious, especially when it comes to shipping a large number of packages.
Many solutions exist to eliminate the systematic use of stamps.
In particular, so-called "franking" machines are known, capable of printing a sticker, acting as a stamp, and comprising a counter capable of accumulating the monetary value of the printed stickers, in order to allow the service provider requested for the routing and the distribution of the parcels thus franked, to know the amount which it must invoice to the user of such a machine. This solution presents disadvantages, including the main one, requiring the use of an expensive machine; this is why, in practice, this solution is implemented almost only by companies, which regularly send a large number of packages.
Also known as "do not frank" envelopes, often attached to advertising letters from a company, to allow the recipients of these letters to respond without having to pay for stamps. These envelopes are used occasionally, under the conditions of an agreement between the company using these envelopes, and the service provider of routing and distribution of correspondence or mail. According to this provision, the address of the said company is printed on the "not to be franked" envelopes. This company is both the payer and the predetermined recipient of these envelopes. It is therefore a solution exclusively adapted to cases, agreed in advance, and subject to a prior agreement between the user company and the routing service.
On the contrary, the present invention eliminates the systematic use of stamps, in general, both for individuals and for businesses, for all types of packages, letters or packages, and without requiring the use of a machine. particular.
To this end, it consists of packaging suitable for receiving an object and constituting with it a package intended to be transported both in France and abroad by a transport service; this packaging includes on its outside a zone for displaying or writing a destination or address. This packaging also incorporates, on the one hand, a price material sign, visible or readable by the user, expressing or making it possible to determine the price for the delivery of the parcel by the transport service and, on the other hand, a material sign counterfeiting, signing the origin of the said packaging, the combination of the tariff sign and the counterfeiting sign conferring a monetary value on the said packaging. According to the invention, the area for displaying or writing a destination or address can be, either a reserved area on the outside of the packaging, on which the user or the transport service writes a destination address of the package, or return a label on which the same destination address of the package is written or printed beforehand. This address can be a readable or not readable writing of the user, and in particular a magnetic writing coded on a label comprising a magnetic support, this magnetic code being able to be written, erased and rewritten at will, for purposes of automatic sorting, for example , as described in document US-A-3,083,904 for example.
By "tariff material sign" means a sign readable or understandable by the user, expressing or making it possible to determine the price of the routing or of the transport of the parcel by the transport service, according to a pre-established tariff of the latter. This tariff material sign can be associated or combined with an additional tariff material sign, invisible to the user, for example a magnetic code on an appropriate medium, allowing automatic determination, for example by magnetic reading, of the price of 1 * routing or transport retained by the user according to the packaging he has chosen for the routing or transport of the object.
By "material sign of tampering" is meant any tangible or tangible sign, which is very difficult or even impossible for a third party other than the manufacturer behind the packaging, and in the current state of the art , either to reproduce identically, or to modify or alter. Many techniques today are forged, and we can cite by way of example the document GB-A-1 507 454, according to which the material sign of forgery is obtained by printing a drawing or a writing, obtained from on the one hand with a paper support impregnated with a precursor of a dye, and on the other hand with an ink comprising, in addition to a usual pigment, a developer of said dye, the whole making it possible to obtain printed signs, for example, characters printed with a colored halo. The material tariff and tampering signs can be grouped on the packaging, according to a single sign comprising different zones, one of which is assigned to the tariff sign, and another to the tampering sign, to allow in particular automatic processing. of the parcel by the transport service, and in particular the postal service.
Grâce à la présente invention, et s'agissant par exemple du courrier des particuliers, la traditionnelle enveloppe sur laquelle on applique un timbre, peut être supprimée et remplacée par une enveloppe filigranée, avec tous les avantages qui s'y attachent, à savoir :Thanks to the present invention, and in the case of private mail, for example, the traditional envelope to which a stamp is applied, can be eliminated and replaced by a watermarked envelope, with all the advantages attached to it, namely:
- éviter d'acheter les timbres d'un côté, et les enveloppes de 1'autre,- avoid buying stamps on one side, and envelopes on the other,
- et supprimer la production et la distribution de timbres.- and eliminate the production and distribution of stamps.
L'invention est maintenant décrite, à titre d'exemple non limitatif, en référence au dessin annexé dans lequel :The invention is now described, by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the appended drawing in which:
- la figure 1 représente une forme d'exécution de l'emballage selon l'invention, en forme d'enveloppe, etFIG. 1 represents an embodiment of the packaging according to the invention, in the form of an envelope, and
- la figure 2 représente une autre forme d'exécution d'un emballage selon l'invention, en forme de boîte parallélépipèdique.- Figure 2 shows another embodiment of a packaging according to the invention, in the form of a rectangular box.
Figures 1 and 2 each show a package 1 suitable for receiving an object 2, and constitute with it a package intended to be conveyed by a service of transport, this packaging incorporating on the one hand, a tariff material sign 3, visible or understandable to the user, expressing or making it possible to determine the price for the delivery of the parcel by the transport service and, on the other hand, a tamper-evident material sign 4, signing the origin of the packaging, the combination of the tariff sign and the tampering sign conferring a monetary value on said packaging. An outer face of the packaging, for example the front face, includes an area 5 for displaying a destination or an address.
The tariff sign represented in FIGS. 1 and 2 is, by way of example, a letter printed on the packaging, approximately at the location where it is usual to stick a stamp on known packaging. A tariff accessible to the user of the packaging allows him to know the delivery price of the package, and therefore the purchase price of the packaging, to which each tariff sign corresponds. For example, "A" can correspond to the delivery price of a letter weighing less than 20 g within France, and "B" can correspond to the delivery price of a package weighing less than 500 g inside France, etc.
In a simple way, the tariff sign is possibly an impression of a determined color, a tariff making it possible to associate a price with this color. For example, it can be established that the envelopes on which a mark of yellow color is printed, correspond to the price of a letter of less than 20 g inside France, other colors corresponding to other prices parcel delivery, including couriers.
Even simpler, the price sign can consist of the main color of the packaging, a price allowing a price to be associated with this color. In this case, for example, envelopes made of a yellow paper which correspond to the shipping price of a letter of less than 20 g inside France, so that it is not even necessary to print on the packaging a sign such as the capital letters shown in Figures 1 and 2, or such as a color mark as mentioned above.
As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the sign of tampering signifying the origin of the packaging is for example a watermark formed or integrated in the structure or material of the packaging. A watermark being complicated or even impossible to produce or reproduce, this complicates and dissuades the manufacture and circulation of false packaging. This watermark can possibly be replaced by any other known or unknown means of tampering, such as for example the insertion of a hologram, an optical reading means, an electronic or computer micro-circuit, etc.
The invention can be applied to any type of packaging, without limit of shape or dimension.
According to the embodiment shown in Figure 1, the packaging according to the invention constitutes an envelope capable of receiving in particular a letter. In known manner, this envelope has a flap II intended to be folded down to close the envelope, when a letter 2 is placed inside. This envelope may in particular be made of paper, strong paper or cardboard.
La combinaison du signe tarifaire et du signe d'infalsification confère à l'emballage une valeur monétaire, au sens ou celui-ci :According to the embodiment shown in FIG. 2, a package according to the invention constitutes a rectangular box 1. This box has a cover 21 intended to be folded down to close it when an object 2 is placed inside. This box can in particular be made of cardboard or plastic, and optionally has an inner layer of foam or other material, intended to absorb shocks to protect the object 2 contained in box 1. The combination of the tariff sign and the tampering sign gives the packaging a monetary value, in the sense that it:
- établit la valeur d'une prestation unitaire de transport ou service- establishes the value of a unitary transport or service
- peut être échangé contre ladite prestation- can be exchanged for said service
- peut être mis en réserve, en étant acheté préalablement à son utilisation ou "consommation"- can be put in reserve, being bought before its use or "consumption"
- its value being guaranteed by the issuing body or company.
