DESIGN FOR A HANDLE-CAP FOR SATCHELS.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To all whom it 'may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE HAVELL, of Newark, in the county of Essex and in the State of New J crsey, have invented a certain new and useful Design for Handle-Caps for Satchels; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters of reference marked thereon making a part of this specification.

My design for a handle-cap consists of a strip of metal, the center of which, a, is bent in a circular shape, to allow a ring attached to the carpet-bag or Satchel to pass through.

The ends b b' are concave to form a cylindrical cup,

into which the end of the strap is secured. These ends are corrugated longitudinally, and one is wider than the other, so as to overlap when the strap is secured between them.

That I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
