DESIGN FOR CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 28,829, dated June 7, 1898.

Application filed May 3, 1898. Serial No. 679,644. Term of patent 3 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ANNA K. MAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a (Jarpet or other Fabric, of which the following is a specification, reference being had more particularly to the accompanying drawing, illustrating the same and forming part thereof.

The leading feature of my design is a morris style pattern of eonventionalized waterflower forms arranged in rows.

In the drawing, a is the body, I) the border, and a b the complete carpet.

c are conventionalized water-flowers, best understood by reference to the drawing, and

d is the ground,upon which these flower forms are arranged.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

1. In a design for a carpet, the body a, substantially as shown.

2. 1n a design for a carpet, the border I), substantially as shown.

3. The design for a carpet consisting of the body a, and border I), substantially as shown.
