Description
I P A S T E B 0 T T L E APPLIcAT 111111111111111111 7.
.P-ji-F-z ALFRED G. BAKER, OF STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA.
PASTE-BOTTLE.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented March 17, 1908.
Application led August 12, 1907. Serial No. 388,088. I
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that LALFRED G. BAKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Stockton, in the county of San Joaquin and State of California, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Paste- Bottles; and l do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accom panying drawings, and to the characters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this application.
This invention relates' to improvements in paste bottles and particularly to that class wherein is placed paste which must be wet before being ready for use, the object of the invention being to produce a paste bottle of the type set forth, which will have a well for the water separate and distinct from the` receptacle in which the paste is placed, thus forming a neater and more complete bottle.
This object l accomplish by means of a well disposed in the lid of the bottle and by such other and further construction as will appear by a perusal of the following specification and claims.
In the drawings similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in the several views.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of my improved paste bottle. Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken on a line a: of Fig. 1 with the parts dissociated.
Referring more particularly to the char-y acters of reference on the drawings 1 desi-gnates the bottle proper adapted to be filled with paste 2 which paste would be so filled into said bottle 1 as to have a central orifice 3 therein.
. tions therefrom may 4 designates the metal covering of the bottle which is adapted to telescope the bottle 1 as shown in Fig. 1, said lid 4 being formed with a central depending well 5 adapted to carry the water 6 and the brush 7, said well 5 fitting normally into the orifice 3.
In practice the water is placed in the well 5 and used therefrom, the paste' 2 being used from the orifice 3 outward so as to permit the free insertion of the welll 5.
The advantages gained by my improved bottle over those wherein the well is formed in the bottle proper are that by having the well formed in the lid the same can be filled, emptied and cleaned without disturbing, wetting or dirtying the paste. It is also neater and more easily handled. Thus it will be seen that I have produceda paste bottle which'substantially fulfils all the objects of the invention as set forth herein.
While this specification sets forth in detail the present and preferred construction of my device, still in practice slight deviabe resorted to within the scope of my claims.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and useful and desire to secure by Letters Patent is 2- A paste bottle comprising a bottle proper, a cover for said bottle completely telescoping the same, a depending well formed as a component part of said cover and being of a lesser depth than said cover, as set forth.
In testimony whereof l affix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
ALFRED G. BAKER.
