I Application November22, 1954, Serial No. 470,184 i 4 Claims. (Cl. 296-78) My invention relates to baby stroller protectors. An important object of my invention is to provide an article of the aforementioned character, which is trans-' parent, and which can be readily attached to a baby stroller, and just as'readily removed therefrom.
Another object of my invention is to provide an article of the aforementioned character which is transparent, which is sturdy enough'to withstand the wind pressures and. protect aninfant in sures as well as protect. the child from rain, sleet, inclement weather and at the same time permit the child to see therethrough, and notobstruct the childs vision,
Another object of my invention is to provide a protector or enclosure of the aforementioned character which consists of an upper inclined panel portion, two side portions oftriangularconfiguration; and'one end portion; at the bottom of the said 'end'portion a pocket being formed to accommodate, adjustably, the backrest'of the stroller, and a-pocket being formed at the juncture of the bottom portion of the top panel portion, which, will accommodate the adjustability of thelegrestand footrest of the baby stroller; an opening being provided between the topedge of the top panel portion, and the top edge of the end panel portion, through which the handles of a carriage are passed, and tying means provided for tying the enclosure or protector to the handle portion of the carriage for maintaining the same attached to the carriage when in use.
A still further object of my invention is to provide an article of the aforementioned character, which is economical to manufacture and of such elemental construction, being both practical for the purposes for which it is purported to be used, as well as economical to manufacture in quantity production.
Other objects and ancillary advantages inherent in my invention will become apparent from an examination of the accompanying drawings, bearing further elucidation in the ensuing description, where like numerals designate like parts, and in which;

Fig. 5 is an enlarged fragmentary view showing the tape and stitching employed to reinforce the seams of the enclosure or protector comprising my invention.
Referring in detail to the various views of my invention, a stroller is generally designated 6, and the vital elements thereof are also numerically designated indicating a skeleton framework 9 and 9 supporting the wheels 7 and 8.

The triangular panel portions stitched together and reinforced be adjusted to the various positions within of adjustment as" indicated inFig. 1.
It will be noted that also will follow the root at the top portion 25 of the top panel portion 19, and at the top edge 28 of the end .panel portions 21, and also at the portions 27, 24, 26 and 29, an opening 23, or mouth 23, is provided, which is reinforced with tape edging as shown in Fig. 5. The said mouth 23 is also provided with tying means 31 secured to the edge 28, and tying means 30 secured to the edge 25, so that the same may be knotted as indicated at 37 in order to reinforce the tying means, and subsequently tied with bows as indicated at 38 to the handle portion 17 so as to hold the entire assemblage of the protector conveniently attached to the stroller 6.
The protector 18 is placed over the stroller by means of the opening 40 draped over the top of the handle so that the pocket portion 32 is brought over the footrest element 14, and the pocket portion 36 is brought down over the backrest 10. The handle 17 being allowed to emanate through the opening 23, and then the tie means 30 and 31 are secured so as to hold the assemblage in place.
It can be readily seen that an infant is not deprived of full vision all around when in the stroller to which my invention is secured, and at the same time the infant will receive protection on all sides from wind, storm, rain, snow and the inclemencies of weather, thus affording ideal protection without disturbance of the vision of the infant.
When the protector is not needed, it may be readily folded and carried in a womans purse, or placed under the mattress or bedding usually used with a stroller type of baby carriage.
While I have illustrated and described what I now regard as the preferred form of construction, it is to be understood that I expressly reserve the right to make all such changes or modifications as may fairly fall within the scope of the appended claims.
Having thus described and revealed my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

A protector for baby strollers, comprising an enclosure of substantially prismatic configuration including a quadrilateral top panel portion, a pair of triangular panel portions secured to opposite sides of the said top panel portion, the said triangular panel portions having portions thereof folded to form an end panel portion, the free edges thereof being secured to form the said end panel portion, the top edge of the said top panel portion and the top edge of the said end panel portion defining a mouth to allow the handle of a baby stroller to pass therethrough, and cooperating fastening means on opposed edges of the said mouth for securing removably the said protector to the said stroller, the bottom portion of the said end panel portion being folded to form a pocket portion to fit the backrest of the said baby stroller, the bottom portion of the said top panel portion being folded'to form a pocket portion to accommodate adjustably the legrest and footrest of the said baby stroller defining a bottom opening between the said triangular panel portions and the said pocket portions.

A protector for baby strollers, comprising an enclosure of substantially prismatic configuration including a quadrilateral top panel portion, a pair of triangular panel portions secured to opposite sides of the said top panel portion, the said triangular panel portions having portions thereof folded to form an end panel portion, the free edges thereof being secured to form the said end panel portion, the top edge of the said top panel portion and the top edge of the said end panel portion defining a mouth to allow the handle of a baby stroller to pass therethrough, and cooperating fastening means on opposed edges of the said mouth for securing removably the said protector to the said stroller, the said mouth and the said bottom opening being reinforced by tape means secured thereto.

A protector for baby strollers, comprising an enclosure of substantially prismatic configuration including a quadrilateral top panel portion, a pair of triangular panel portions secured to opposite sides of the said top panel portion, the said triangular panel portions having portions thereof folded to form an end panel portion, the free edges thereof being secured to form the said end panel portion, the top edge of the said top panel portion and the top edge of the said end panel portion defining a mouth to allow the handle of a baby stroller to pass therethrough, and cooperating fastening means on opposed edges of the said mouth for securing removably the said protector to the said stroller, the bottom portion of the said end panel portion being folded to form a pocket portion to fit the backrest of the said baby stroller, the bottom portion of the said top panel portion being folded to form a pocket portion to accommodate adjustably the legrest and footrest of the said baby stroller defining a bottom opening, the said mouth and the said bottom opening being reinforced by tape means secured thereto.
