i"IFI-'iis `iriwntionrelates 'to a holder-and contairerhfora'l shaving ortoothbrushfoutt and has forlan object -to'rprovi'def an improved zholder and container which maybe used asnav'container. for either'fa'complete shaving or `razorxouti'lt or a complete toothbrush Outfit, the shaving -outiit consisting -1 of av shavingy :creamtube :and -razor partis'fwhich cooperatefwith apart` of the containeif an'cl'holder;. whereby :the 'container serves asf-'ai handleand likewise l'which cooperates with a`---toothbrush outfit 4consisting 'of .al toothpaste tube and -aftoothbr'ushf fhead- Which cooperates with"5 thel 'same partv :o'fthel rcontainer and holder wherebythe container and holderacts as'a .toothi bushfhandle.
A further object of'thisinvention is to provide aahold'erl and=fcontainer for` ato'othbrush lor shav ingoutt. which container also-includes absorbentfm'eansvlfor absorbing and thus drying either the razor par-ts-'orlthe toothbrush.
Afrther object 4of this invention is to provide afliolderand container whichmay cooperate with either atoothbrush outfit or alshavingoutt for both carrying the saine and vfor operating the same.:v f
"-'Stilla-iur-ther objectlof this invention is'to pro-` vide: afholderf and container which may be `used with either a toothbrush outfit or a shaving outt, Which container is about the size of the usual largelbarrel fountain pen whereby a pair of these identical containers? and holders; one equipped with .-ahtoothbrush 'outt and one equippedvwith arr-shaving outt Willwenable the user to be ready toclean-hi's teeth and to shave himself wheneverneeded;

The-barrel I-I is arrangedl to contain a toothbrush head 21 provided with' bristles 28 and having` a feinale threaded handle stub 3i) Whosethrad's are' come plementary to the threads on the endof' shaft 2|. kWhen used as a toothbrush outfit, thefstilb 30 is threaded over the shaftZI- and the con: tainer and holder thus actas a handle for inanip= ulating the brush over ones teeth. Whennished, the head 21 is removed fromA the shaft-2 I and then the head 21 and toothpaste tube'26 are placed back within the holder and container I@ Whichis reassembled as shown in Fig. 3, the tail cap I4 being placed over the plug I8 to enclose the end of shaft 2| and form a smooth container which is not liable to tear ones pocket.
, When equipped with a razor or shaving outfit, the container and holder I0 act as a handle for the razor onthe razorparts. These parts include a razor clamp 3| having a centrall threaded aperture 32 through-Which the shaft `2| maybe threadedinto abutment with*y the back `of the razor blade holder 33 shown in Fig. 7. The razor blade clamp 3| is provided at its ends with curved ngers 34 which lit over the ends of the razor blade holder 33 and of the razor blade 35 having a single edge 36, the ends of which are notched as at 31.
The blade holder 33 is provided with a back ledge 38 substantially at right angles to the plane of the holder 33 and a front lip 40 curved downwardly in-the opposite direction from the ledge 38. Position knobs 4l are provided at each end of the curved lip 40 and cooperate with the notches 31 in the blade 35 for positioning the blade 35 relative to the blade holder 33. A 1ongitudinal slot 42 is located in the bladeholder 33 so as to be just under the blade edge 36 when the blade is in position thereon.
To assemble the razor outfit, a blade 35 is placed on the holder 33 with its back edge abutting the holder ledge 38 and its notches 31 abutting the positioning knobs 4 l. The blade clamp 3l is then placed with its curved fingers 34 extending over the ends of the assembled blade and bladeholder. The shaft 2| of the holder and container I0 is then threaded through the threaded aperture 32 in clamp 3| and into contact with the bottom of the bladeholder 33y thus pressing the assembled bladeholder 33 and blade 35 tightly against the insides of the curved fingers 34, holding the blade -rmly in position with its edge 35 extending partly over the bladeholder slot 42.
The assembled razor is then used in the conventional manner the same as any ordinary safety razor, the slot 42 permitting the soapand hair to pass therethrough while being used. When finished, it is merely disassembled, rinsed, if possible, and the shaving cream 25 placed back in the cap l2 while the razor parts 3l, 33, and 35 are placed back in the barrel. As shown, there is room for a package of five razor blades 35 Within the barrel Il, thus enabling the user to have enough blades available for at least five shaves, about the amount of shaving cream that would be available in a tube 25 of the size shown.
With the container and holder i being identical for making up either a shaving outfit or a toothbrush outfit, the cost of manufacture and distributingcosts are considerably lessened and a pair of twin outfits, one for teeth and one for shaving, would preferably be packaged and merchandized simultaneously although, of course, either outfit could be sold independently. Such a pair 0f twin outfits would be especially convenient for anyone traveling away from homeY but would be just as convenient under any oircumstances. Blade and cream or paste replacements would be readily available at any drug or department store.
While the preferred form of this invention has been shown and described, it will be understood that this invention is not restricted to the particular details of construction and arrangement hereinbefore set forth, but that changes in such details and construction may be made within the scope of what is hereinafter claimed Without departing from the spirit of this invention.
