To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ELLA C. AGER'roN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Ringold, in the countyofMcOurtain, State of Oklahoma, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Obstetrical Appliances; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

The present invention is directed to improvement in obstetrical appliances, and has for its object to provide a device of this character in the nature of a harness which can be readily applied to the patient to assist the labor during parturition.

A further object of the invention is to provide a device of this character which can be readily adjusted upon the patient, and when in proper adjusted position will greatly aid in natural delivery.

With these and other objects in view, this invention resides in the novel features of construction, formation, combination and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter" more fully described, claimed and illustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure l is a perspective view of the dev1ce.

The harness consists of a cushion 1 which is placed under the back of the patient, said cushion having stitched thereto shoulder straps 2. Having its lower edge stitched to the straps 2 is a band 3, said band having its end provided with rings 4:, said rings being connected by a strip of elastic web 5 which is provided at one end'with a buckle 6, whereby the web 5 when connected in this manner constitutes a belt which can be buckled around the chest of the patient.

What is claimed is In a device of theclass described, a back engaging cushion, shoulder engaging straps connected with the cushion, knee slings having rings carried by their ends, means for connecting the knee slings to limit the lateral, movement thereof, upper and lower strips connecting the rings, said shoulder engaging straps being slidably engaged in cer tain of said rings, second straps connected with the cushionand slidably engaged with the other rings, and having their ends connected with the ends of the shoulder engaging strap, and means for connecting certain of the rings and the band which is associated with the shoulder strap.
