A washing machine with a device for automatic opening/closing of its upper cover, which comprises: a body comprising a washing tank in the vertical shaft; a door for covering the opening of the washing tank and comprising a foldable second hinge member adapting to the rotation of the body and a first hinge member; and a door opening/closing device for closing or opening the door by the forward or backward rotation of a motor.
