Disclosed is a pigment which is represented by the general formula (1) shown below which is capable of exhibiting a high power generation efficiency. (formular 1) ML1L2X1X2 (wherein M represents elements of group 8-10 of the long form periodic table; L1 represents a bidentate ligand represented by a certain formula; L2 represents a bidentate ligand represented by the formula aforementioned or a formula differed from the formula aforementioned; and X1 and X2 respectively represent a monovalent atom group or a monodentate ligand.)
