Abstract

Sewage sludge is composted by a process of decompsn. controlled by the volume of air fed into the mass. The sludge from which the bulk of the water has been extracted, is fed in, mixed with a source of carbon such as peat, sawdust or recirculated compost, to a reactor, into which air enriched with pure oxygen is blown from below in a contrary direction to the movement of the sludge, setting up zones of differing temp. and oxygen content the hottest zone being in the upper third of the mass and that with most oxygen in the lower third.

Description

The invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods for producing organic fertilizers.

1J .A known method for the biological purification of water in which solid particles contained in a suspension precipitate and how the sludge of the purification cycle that takes place is extracted 1J.

However, this method is effective only for wastewater.

2 .There is a known method for composting sludge sludge, which includes mixing it with a carrier of organic carbon in an aeration reactor with forced supply of oxygen-enriched air to the countercurrent to compostable sludge C2.

However, the known method is not effective enough.

The purpose of the invention is the regulation of the fermentation process and the implementation of a continuous process.

This is achieved in the process of mixing the sludge with a carrier of organic carbon, water and bentonite flour, and air are added.

Moreover, peat, sawdust, straw are used as a carrier of organic carbon, and bentonite flour is added at the rate of 7.5–12.5 kg per 1 m of settling sludge.

The proposed method is carried out using an aeration reactor.

The drawing shows a diagram. aeration reactor.

The reactor 1 contains an irrigation system 2, a blower 3 with a finely bubble nozzle system 4, a load 15 load and a discharge device 6, as well as probes 7 and 8, respectively, for an air mixture sample to measure the temperature.

Sludge falling in treatment plants during wastewater treatment is mixed with peat, sawdust, straw and bentonite flour in a closed aeration reactor 1.
