Abstract

A device is for the holding of the laundry drum of a drum washing machine and incorporates a locking disc which is driven by an electric motor and is torsionally coupled to the laundry drum outside a washing soln. container. The disc features a locking notch, which corresponds to a locking head (12) in the loading position of the drum. The locking head (12) is part of a first arm (22) of a two-arm rocker shaft (20) which can assume two end positions held stable through a spring (24). The second arm (19) is connected to the armature (17) of an electromagnet (16) acting in the tilting direction or peripherally to it. ADVANTAGE - The device reduces the need of material and is compact.
