Abstract

Self-changing fluid valve comprising a main valve slide 7 which is movable in a valve housing 1 and is adapted to be adjusted automatically between a first and a second end position so as to connect alternately the pressure and tank ports of the valve to one or the other of two working ports 3, 4. The valve slide 7 is adapted so as to be adjusted automatically from the first to the second end position at a given pressure level in said one working port 3 which, in said first end position, is connected to the pressure port. After the valve slide 7 has taken up the second end position, it is adapted to be returned to the first end position by means of a spring 8. This takes place after the pressure, which acts on the valve slide 7 in the adjusting direction, in the second working port 4, which in said second end position is connected to the pressure port, has reached a level which essentially balances a pressure acting in the opposite direction on the valve slide 7 in the second end position. The invention also relates to a method of controlling a self-changing fluid valve. <IMAGE>
