Abstract
To provide a release film for producing a ceramic green sheet which suppresses deterioration of surface roughness due to aggregation of a release layer while being dried, has high smoothness, and has excellent peelability by adjusting an amount of a silicone-based component on a surface of the release layer. The release film for producing a ceramic green sheet, in which a polyester film is used as a substrate, the substrate has a surface layer A that does not substantially contain particles on at least one surface, arid a release layer is laminated onto the at least one surface of the surface layer A directly or via other layer, wherein the release layer is obtained by curing a composition that contains a binder component and a silicone-based release agent, an Si element ratio on a surface of the release layer is 2.0 at% or more and 10.0 at% or less, maximum protrusion height (P) on the surface of the release layer is 50 nm or less, and average area roughness (Sa) on the surface of the release layer is 1.5 nm or less.
