Abstract

The invention relates to a solar cell string, comprising: a solar cell (1) having a dielectric layer (3) arranged on a solar cell surface (10), a multiplicity of parallel finger electrodes (2) being arranged on said dielectric layer, wherein a finger electrode (2) has a maximum finger width (bF) transversely with respect to a finger electrode longitudinal direction (LF) and contacts a semiconductor region of the solar cell (1) through the dielectric layer (3); a further solar cell; and a metallic connector (4), which electrically connects the solar cell (1) to the further solar cell and which is arranged on the solar cell surface (10) along a connector longitudinal direction (LV) transversely with respect to the finger electrodes (2) and is electrically connected to the finger electrodes (2). The connector (4) in one or a plurality of connector sections (41; 42) is arranged directly above the dielectric layer (3) along an entire connector width or bears on a busbar (5) having, perpendicular to the connector longitudinal direction (Lv), a busbar width (bB) that is less than or substantially equal to the maximum finger width (bF). The invention furthermore relates to a corresponding solar cell production method.
