Abstract

The present invention discloses compounds of formula, (See Formula); wherein n is 0, 1 or 2; A is (See Formula); wherein every X is, independently, hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, hydroxy, nitro, lower alkoxy, amine, cyane, trifluoromethyl or methylthio; K is N or CH; m is 1 or 2; k is 1 or 2; R1 and R2 are, independently, hydrogen, lower alkyl, (See Formula) or aryl except when R1 is (See Formulaher with the carbon atom to which they are bonded form a cyclopentane ring, cyclohexane, cycloheptane, pyran, thiopyran, indane or piperidine; R3 and R4 are independently hydrogen or lower alkyl, or alternatively R3 + R4 together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded, form a cyclopentane ring, cyclohexane, cycloheptane, pyran, thiopyran, pyrrolidine or piperidine, the term aryl represents an unsubstituted phenyl group or a substituted phenyl group with 1, 2 or 3 substituents, each being independently lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, hydroxy, halogen, lower alkylthio, cyane, amino or trifluoromethyl. The compounds of the present invention are useful as antipsychotic, analgesic, anticonvulsive and antianxiolitic agents.
