Abstract

La invención se refiere a un proceso para producir diisocianatos aromáticos y/o alifáticos, que comprende las siguientes etapas: a) despolimerizar un poliuretano por hidrólisis en presencia de una base y un catalizador, que se selecciona del grupo que consiste de sales de amonio cuaternario que contienen un catión de amonio que tiene (6) a (30) átomos de carbono y sulfonatos orgánicos que contienen por lo menos (7) átomos de carbono, a temperaturas preferentemente por debajo de 200° C para producir di-y/o poliaminas; b) separar las di-y/o poliaminas recuperadas de la etapa a) de la mezcla de reacción por extracción, destilación y/u otros procesos de separación; c) fosgenar las di-y/o poliaminas obtenidas de la etapa b) para formar di-y/o poliisocianatos, en donde en la etapa de fosgenación c), también se agregan opcionalmente di-y/o poliaminas que no se originan a partir de la etapa de proceso a).
