Abstract

La presente invención se relaciona con las composiciones bioactivas aisladas que contienen las fracciones bioactivas derivadas de las plantas teáceas. La presente invención también se relaciona con las formulaciones tópicas bioactivas que contienen las composiciones bioactivas. La presente invención además se relaciona con los métodos para usar las composiciones bioactivas de la presente invención, que incluyen, por ejemplo, los métodos para inhibir la actividad inflamatoria en el tejido dérmico de un mamífero, para proteger el tejido dérmico de un mamífero contra el daño causado por la luz ultravioleta, y para normalizar los trastornos de la piel en el tejido dérmico de un mamífero.
