It should be noted that in the following description, only parts necessary for understanding the operation according to the present invention will be described, and descriptions of other parts will be omitted so as not to distract from the gist of the present invention.

1 illustrates a structure of a coexistence management system for managing a frequency sharing device for the purpose of improving frequency sharing efficiency among a plurality of frequency sharing devices. Channel information database (DB) is a DB that provides channel information available for frequency sharing devices. The mutual coexistence management system for mutual coexistence between frequency sharing devices is composed of the following three entities.

또한, 주파수 공유와 관련된 결정에 따라 주파수 공유장치의 configuration (장치를 구성하는 요소)의 재설정을 주파수 공유장치에 반영시키는 역할을 한다.-CE (coexistence enabler): CE is an entity that acts as a pathway between the CM and the frequency sharing device. Context information related to the corresponding frequency sharing device requested by the CM (wireless connection method, transmission power, spectrum sensing threshold, location, etc.) is extracted from the frequency sharing device and transmitted to the CM, and event information (frequency sharing device) requested from the CM Change of information related to mutual coexistence of In addition, it plays a role of reflecting the reset of the configuration of the frequency sharing device (elements constituting the device) to the frequency sharing device according to the decision related to the frequency sharing.

Channel information database로 부터 주파수 공유 장치들이 사용 가능한 채널 정보를 가져올 수 있다.-Coexistence manager (CM): An entity that makes important decisions related to frequency sharing such as operating frequency allocation, transmission power allocation and transmission time allocation to improve frequency sharing efficiency among multiple frequency sharing devices. If cooperation with other CMs controlling other frequency sharing devices is needed, information can be exchanged directly or through CDIS. From the channel information database, channel information available for frequency sharing devices can be obtained.

CDIS (Coexistence Discovery and Information Server): An entity to assist in making decisions regarding the control of the frequency sharer of the CM. Receives and saves the necessary information from multiple CMs, and the connected CM sends the necessary information. From the channel information database, channel information available for frequency sharing devices can be obtained.

In an embodiment of the present invention, a case in which a TV band is shared is considered. In this case, the frequency sharing device is considered as a TVBD device (TVBD), and the channel information database is considered as a TV white space (TVWS) database (database).

The mutual coexistence management system operates under the following two modes. In Management mode, this function reflects the resetting of the configuration of the frequency sharing device (elements constituting the device) indicated by the CM to the frequency sharing device. In autonomous mode, the CE can make important decisions related to frequency sharing based on the information related to mutual coexistence received from the CM, and reflect the reset of the configuration of the frequency sharing device to the frequency sharing device.

Inter-existence management systems operate under two topologies: centralized and distributed. Centralized topology is a case where a plurality of slave CMs are connected to one master CM, and the slave CMs are controlled by the master CM to solve the coexistence problem between TVBDs. Distributed topology solves the coexistence problem between TVBD through negotiation between CM and neighbor CMs.

Negotiation between neighbor CMs is important because of effective coexistence between heterogeneous frequency sharing systems. The proposed invention largely negotiates between adjacent CMs based on two negotiation modes, that is, an etiquette mode and a contention mode. The etiquette mode uses different TV bands between adjacent CMs when there are free channels between adjacent CMs. The competition mode uses a time-division multiplexing (TDM) method for the same TV band between adjacent CMs when there are no free channels between adjacent CMs. The competition mode is divided into a round-robin mode in which slot times are allocated to all neighboring CMs and a competition mode in which neighboring CMs having a large contention number are allocated every slot time.

The identification of neighboring frequency sharing devices that may cause co-channel interference between frequency sharing devices is very important for mutual coexistence between frequency sharing devices. The determination of the neighboring frequency sharing apparatus is performed by the CM and the CDIS. First, the neighbor frequency sharing apparatus may be classified into the following two types.

(Intra-CM TVBD neighbor)-Determination of neighboring frequency sharing devices between frequency sharing devices registered in the same CM (Intra-CM TVBD neighbor)

(Inter-CM TVBD neighbor)-Determination of neighboring frequency sharing devices between frequency sharing devices registered to different CMs (Inter-CM TVBD neighbor)

The neighbor CM refers to a case of neighboring frequency sharing devices between frequency sharing devices registered in different CMs.

After the frequency sharing device registers with the CM through the CE, it informs the CM of the following information necessary for determining the neighboring frequency sharing device.

Frequency sharing device type

Frequency sharing device wireless access method

Other necessary information

Based on this, the CM calculates the neighboring frequency sharing devices among the frequency sharing devices registered to it and finds the following information of the neighboring frequency sharing devices.

IDFrequency sharing device ID

Frequency sharing device type

The CM updates the neighboring frequency sharing device calculation when a new frequency sharing device is registered or there is a change in the existing registered frequency sharing device. Inform the necessary information.

In order to calculate neighboring frequency sharing devices between different CMs, the CM registers with the CDIS and informs the CDIS of the following information necessary for the calculation.

- CM ID-CM ID

IDFrequency sharing device ID

Frequency sharing device type

Frequency sharing device wireless access method

Other necessary information

Based on this, CDIS calculates the neighboring frequency sharing devices among the frequency sharing devices of the CMs registered to it and finds the following information of the neighboring frequency sharing devices.

- 이웃 CM IDNeighbor CM ID

IDFrequency sharing device ID

Frequency sharing device type

Frequency sharing device wireless access method
