Abstract

PURPOSE: A card terminal for automatically selecting a payment-objected card and a method thereof are provided to select one card for paying a charge by extracting previous use details of each card sequentially from many cards which are accessed simultaneously and comparing the previous use details in a card terminal. CONSTITUTION: An electric wave generating unit(110) generates a wireless electric wave, emits the wireless electric wave to an exterior, and communicates with at least one card accessed within a predetermined distance sequentially using the wireless electric wave. A card information managing unit(120) reads information of the cards received through the electric wave generating unit(110) and classifies/stores the information according to cards. A card selection unit(130) analyzes previous use details of each card and selects one card for paying a charge. A payment processing unit(150) pays a charge using the card selected in the card selection unit(130) and executes a control for recording the payment result in the card through the electric wave generating unit(110).
