Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness of single or two layers of oriented polyimide films and a substrate and to decrease orientation defects by forming the oriented films mentioned above by coating and ring closing of two kinds of specific polyamide acid solns. on the substrate provided with electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The oriented polyamide films are formed on the substrate provided with the electrodes by coating and ring closing of the 1st polyamide acid soln. obtd. by polycondensation of the tetracarboxylic dianhydride expressed by the formula I and the amine contg. >=50% diamine expressed by the formula II in an org. solvent as polyamide underlaying film, then coating and ring closing of the 2nd polyamide acid soln. obtd. from the tetracarboxylic dianhydride and the diamine. The single layer of the oriented polyamide film is otherwise formed by mixing the 1st and 2nd polyamide acid solns., coating the mixture on the substrate and subjecting the coating to ring closing. In the formulas, R1 is the residual group of the tetracarboxylic dianhydride; R2 is an alkylene group, phenylene group substd. with an alkylene group; R3 is an alkyl group, aryl group; m is 1 or 2.
