Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a multilayer plate excellent in heat insulation, while a nail may be driven into said plate by nipping a formed object composed of SiO2 product in between a pair of porous ceramic plates. CONSTITUTION:A hardened object 1 is nipped in between a pair of porous ceramic plates 2 wherein foaming inorganic raw material is foamed by heating, thereby obtaining a multilayer plate A. The mixture in which SiO2-type product and a raw material composed of alkali silicate and water are simultaneously mixed mutually and agitated, is fed into between a pair of porous ceramic plates 2, and then is cured, dried and hardened. Thus, a hardened object 1 is obtained. In the curing process, kneaded material penetrates through the skin layers of the porous ceramic plates and said ceramic plates are connected firmly. Since the skin layer of this multilayer plate is made of porous ceramic, while it is excellent in heat insulation, a nail may be driven into said plate.
