Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent defective feed-out of an ink ribbon, by providing a separator changing the rotating directions of rollers to enable feeding the ink ribbon in the direction reverse to an ink ribbon feeding direction and for facilitating the containment of the ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:An ink ribbon 1 fed out by a feeding roller 4 and a pressure roller 6 is fed into an ink ribbon-containing part 2 by another pressure roller 5. In the case of reversely feeding the ribbon 1, the ribbon 1 fed out by the feeding roller 4 and the pressure roller 5 is accumulated into a gap 12 defined by the feeding roller 4, the pressure roller 5, a ribbon presser 9 and a ribbon guide 11 in the state of being folded. Thereafter, a ribbon feeding passage is restricted by the ribbon presser 9, and the ribbon 1 on the downstream side of the ribbon presser 9 is normally fed out by one sheet at a time. On the other hand, a separator 10 pressed against the pressure roller 6 is opened so that the ribbon can be easily fed-in. At the time of normal rotation, the separator 10 is closed, whereby the ink ribbon feeding passage is restricted, and the ribbon 1 is fed out by one sheet at a time.
