It consists of an insulating housing with a contact chamber inside which the contacts are installed, but the flux or solder that comes into contact when the socket is soldered to the circuit board is used for later cleaning. The solvent enters the housing by capillary action through the through hole of the pin terminal provided in the bottom of the socket, and further diffuses through the gap between the contact and the wall surface of the contact chamber, causing contact between the contacts. They may adhere to movable parts due to their elasticity, causing accidents such as poor contact or stuck contacts.

However, like the flux mentioned above, there was a risk that it would enter the inside of the housing and cause the same accident as mentioned above.

The protruding portion forms a contact portion 11 that makes electrical connection with a terminal such as an IC that is inserted by contacting a support portion 10 in the middle portion of the contact.

Most of it accumulates in the terminal space 13 formed between the terminal part and the wall surface.

The connecting portion 16, which is bent so as to be in close contact with one of the curved portions 7, is further extended to become a pin terminal that passes through the terminal through hole of the housing, but it has entered between the connecting portion 16 and the inner wall surface of the contact chamber 4. The remaining flux, etc. accumulates in the upper space 14 between the support part 10 and the inner wall surface and is no longer diffused, so that it does not adhere to the contact part 11.
