Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent medium vapor from being purged to the atmosphere by enabling a tank provided for receiving low boiling medium when needed in regular inspection or the like to be utilized in an occurrence of important phenomenon such as function loss of a condenser caused by stoppage of a cooling water pump.
CONSTITUTION: A tank 10 is provided for receiving low boiling point medium in regular inspection or the like, and vacant in the running of a turbine. When a cooling water pump 5 is stopped in the running of the turbine, pressure in a condenser 4 is raised. When the pressure exceed a certain limit value, medium vapor is jetted to the atmosphere through a safety valve 9. In this case, since a communicating pipe 12 and the tank 10 for reserving medium in regular inspection are provided, vapor in the condenser 4 is sent to the tank 10 through the communicating pipe 12 so that the medium vapor purged to the atmosphere through the safety valve 9 is minimized.
