Abstract

PURPOSE: The titled rubber composition using base rubber comprising vinyl-rich polybutadiene and natural (or isoprene) rubber and being capable of forming tires having a small rolling resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber composition comprising 20W100pts.wt. polybutadiene rubber containing 40% or more of a vinyl component (that is, 1,2-bond) and 80W 0pts.wt. natural and/or isoprene rubber is used as the base rubber. further, it is preferable to blend 100pts.wt. above-mentioned base rubber with 30W50pts.wt. carbon black having an average particle size of 20W60mμ as a reinforcing agent.
