Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce stable induction discharge in an efficient manner, by accumulating in an ignition coil a necessary minimum amount of energy required for starting electric discharge at an ignition plug, and keeping on the electric discharge by the energy accumulated in a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:When the level of an ignition control signal SA given from an ignition timing control circuit 9 in an ignition control circuit 12A becomes ''1'', transistors Q2, Q3 of an ignition circuit 14 are turned ON, and electric current from a battery 1 is passed to a primary coil L1 of an ignition coil 13. On the other hand, when the level of the ignition control signal SA becomes ''0'', the electric current from the battery 1 is interrupted, so that spark is produced at an ignition plug 6A by a high-tension pulse produced at a secondary coil L2. Further, an energy supply control circuit 15 is composed of a monostable multivibrator 16, semiconductor switch 17, diodes D1, D2 and capacitors C1, C2, and spark or electric discharge of the ignition plug 6A is maintained by the energy accumulated in the capacitor C1.
