Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove noise and facilitate handling by employing core type for an iron core and a shell mold for a mold in a device of deciding the graphite shape of cast iron prior to pouring. CONSTITUTION:An iron core 13 consists of lamination of silicon steel plates of unsplit core type, and on its secondary side, an insulator 14 is wound on the upper part of the iron core 13, and is enclosed thereon by a copper plate 15, which is projecting upward. This is continuous to an electrode 16 using a heat resistant conductor such as ''Alumel '' wire and cast iron 17, thereby constituting the coil on the secondary side. A primary side coil 2 is provided in the side part of the iron core 13 and is connected to the body of the device by means of a terminal 18. The support base 20 of a mold 19 is provided in the upper part of a box 21, and the mold 19 consists of a master mold and a core, both of which are shell molds. The electrode 16 is beforehand embedded in the master mold and when the mold 19 is set to the base 20, it contacts the copper plate 15.
