Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve S/N and the measurement precision, by comparing the first and the second electric charges repeatedly in AC and preserving electric charges after comparison and detecting an output signal corresponding to the difference between electric charges from an unbalanced terminal. CONSTITUTION:Reference electric charges generated in electric charge generating parts 101 and 102 are sent to storage electrodes 121 and 122 through charge transfer parts 111 and 112 respectively. When a gate electrode 131 is opened, the reference electric charge under the electrode 121 is supplied into the potential well under the third storage electrode 16 and is held. Next, when a pulse is applied to open the electrode 131, the reference electric charge held under the electrode 16 is transferred under the electrode 121 again, and therefore, the potential variance of the electrode 16 is detected by a source follower circuit 22 to obtain an output proportional to the reference electric charge quantity. Similarly, an output proportional to the comparison electric charge held under the electrode 122 is obtained. An output signal proportional to the difference between two signal charges is operated analogically and is obtained in AC in an output terminal OUT.
