Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable repeated clean printing in a copying carbon, ink or the like, by a method wherein a foamable thermoplastic resin ink or the like is printed on a substrate surface, and the ink is foamed by heating to produce a sponge- form foamed resin layer having minute cells therein. CONSTITUTION:An ink or coating material composed of a thermoplastic synthetic resin and a heat-foaming agent is fixed on the surface of a substrate 1 such as paper, a synthetic resin plate, a synthetic resin sheet, a synthetic resin film, a cloth, leather, wood, a metallic plate, etc. by screen printing, roll coater printing or similar methods. The ink or coating material is foamed by heating so that a sponge-form foamed resin layer having extremely minute cells is provided on the surface of the substrate 1, producing a plate material. Characters, figures or the like are printed on the surface of the foamed resin layer of the plate material by using the copying carbon, ink 3 or the like by screen printing or the like. The ink 3 or the like penetrates into the cells and is fixed when being dried, so that the copy printing can be conducted repeatedly until the residual ink 3 or the like is used up.
