Abstract

PURPOSE:To joint metallic sheets in a body easily and simply in a laminated metallic gasket consisting of more than two sheets by providing tongues at positions that do not deteriorate sealing capacity of outer layer metallic sheets and pressing the whole after folding and intersecting the tongues. CONSTITUTION:Semicircular arcuate notches 7 that form, for instance, semicircular tongues 4a are provided at plural positions that do not deteriorate sealing capacity of an outer layer metallic sheet 4. Semicircular arcuate notches 8 that form semicircular tongues 5a are also provided at corresponding positions of another outer layer metallic sheet 5. The semicircular tongues 4a, 5a formed by the notches 7, 8 are opposed to each other so as to form a circle roughly by superposition. The opposed tongues 4a, 5a are folded and made to intersect, and the whole gasket is pressed to join the metallic sheets 4, 5 in a body. By this way, assembling is made simply and easily without deteriorating sealing capacity of the gasket.
