PURPOSE:To improve color reproducibility with simple masking by moving a photoreceptor which is charged to a polarity reversed from that of a recording sheet developed with a yellow toner and is exposed with a green filter close to said recording sheet and transferring part of the yellow toner to the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 2 developed with a yellow toner is stuck with more than necessary yellow toner in a magenta part and a blue part. In order to reduce this, a photoreceptor 4 is charged to (+) polarity and is exposed with a green filter when the yellow toner is charged to (-) polarity, and this provides the photoreceptor 4 which holds (+) charge in the parts of magenta, blue, red, and black and has 0 charge in other. If this photoreceptor 4 is moved close to the sheet 2 and conductive bases 5, 6 are grounded, the yellow toner of (-) charge is attracted to the (+) charge of the photoreceptor 4 and is transferred thereto. The pickup of the yellow toner in the magenta part and the blue part decreases. If a magenta image and a cyan image are superposed on these, the color images of color reproducibility better than that in the prior art are obtained.
