Abstract

PURPOSE:To equalize the loss of a transmission cable to low frequencies with high accuracy and to reduce the error in discrimination of a reception signal, by changing the gain of a flat amplifier or an equalizer based on the amount of interference between codes and the amplitude of an input and output signal. CONSTITUTION:An input signal is given to an AGC controlling circuit 2 via a f1/2AGC1, a waveform shaping circuit 11 and a flat amplifier 4 for automatic equalization. Interference between codes 9 and 10 at a time T2 on time slot after the center of a pulse of equalization waveform are detected at a detection circuit between codes 3 and the gain of the flat amplifier 4 is controlled with a control circuit 5 depending on the amount of detection.
