Abstract
PURPOSE:To obviate generation of flexural vibrations in a trough, by supporting the trough on a base through an elastic unit, and vibrations are exerted to the base by a vibrator, the direction of which vibrations is made variable. CONSTITUTION:The trough 1 of the vibrating conveyor is supported via supporting plates 2 on the electric unit 3 attached to the base 4. The base 4 is supported by damping springs 5, has a length in conformity with the trough 1, and is provided with the vibrator 7 at its end. The vibrator 7 includes unbalanced weights 11a, 11b whose vibration phases can be varied, and which rotate in opposite directions at the same rate, so that the direction of vibrations can be changed. The elastic unit 3 supporting the trough 1 has rubber springs 30, 31 that can be rotated about bolts 34. Thus, the direction of the vibrations of the trough 1 can be arbitrarily selected, and bending stress would not be induced in the trough 1, so that stabilized conveyance can be effected.
