Abstract

PURPOSE: To separate a magnetic substance and a non-magnetic substance and transport the same in good efficiency by a method wherein drum type magnetic sorting machines are arranged toward an upper direction and a substance to be sorted is separated while successively transported to an upward direction.
CONSTITUTION: Drum type magnetic sorting machines 22W25 are successively arranged so as to be directed to an upward direction and a substance to be sorted is supplied to the magnetic sorting machine 22 positioned at a loweremost part by a vibration conveyor 27. After the substance to be sorted is roughly separated into a magnetic substance and a non-magnetic substance, only the magnetic substance is successively sent upwardly and, after sorted further precisely, loaded into a truck or the like from the final stage magnetic sorting machine 25 through a hopper 30. As described above, without using a large conveyor, separation and transportation of the magnetic substance is carried out in good effieicncy.
