Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a stable sgent for radiodiagnosis capable of keeping the activity of the bioactive compound contained therein, by bonding the bioactive compound to a 3-aminomethylene-2,4-pentanedione bis(thiosemicarbazone) derivative, and labeling the product with radioactive metal.
CONSTITUTION: A 3-aminomethylene-2,4-pentanedione bis(thiosemicarbazone) of formula (R1 and R2 are H, 1W3C alkyl or phenyl) and its N-alkyl or N-phenyl derivative is bonded with a bioactive compound having localizing characteristics to specific organs and specific diseased parts, e.g. proteins, antibiotic substances, hormones, saccharides, etc. by glutaraldehyde method or carbodiimide method to obtain a non-radioactive stable carrier without causing the deactivation, denaturation, decomposition, etc. of the active compound. The carrier is brought into contact with an aqueous solution containing radioactive metal ions such as Ga-67, In-111, Tl-201, Tc-99m, etc. to obtain the objective diagnostic agent.
