Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the electromagnetic iron core having stable electromagnetic characteristics while largely reducing its production cost by employing softer steel strand wire containing specified carbon content and other impurity content and conducting cold drawing having specified workability and annealing having specified temperature and time for the strand wire. CONSTITUTION:The strand wire containing 0.01wt% of carbon content and less than 0.31wt% of other impurity contents is used as a softer steel strand wire. When the strand wire is subject to cold drawing and then to annealing, the workability of the cold drawing as well as the temperature and time of the annealing are specified as below. That is, the drawing is conducted as higher than 20% of workability, and the finish drawing to be conducted thereafter is carried out at less than 10%. The annealing to be conducted thereafter is carried out first at 600-700 deg.C for 3-8hr, and then at 550-650 deg.C to room temperature by air-cooling. Thus, ferrite particles having less plastic strain are uniformly dispersed in the strand wire.
