Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need of providing a heat insulating material, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the solar energy collector by housing a heat receiving part comprising a heat collecting plate and heat collecting pipes connected to the heat collecting plate within a casing and constituting at least one side of the casing facing the heat collecting plate with a transparent plate.
CONSTITUTION: The casing 4A having a relatively thin thickness (substantially as half as that of the conventional casing) houses the heat receiving part 10 comprising a heat collecting plate 3 and a plurality of heat collecting pipes 2 which are attached to the heat collecting plate 3 at an even pitch. At least one side of the casing 4A facing the heat collecting plate 3 is constituted with a transparent plate 1. The transparent plate 1 and the heat receiving part 10, and the heat receiving part 10 and the bottom of the casing 4A define respectively an air layer 6 between each of them, so that the heat is not transmitted from one to another. Such a construction eliminates the need of providing a heat insulating material between the heat receiving part 10 and the bottom of the casing 4A, which has been needed to provide so far. This results in reducing the manufacturing cost. Further, the heat collecting pipes 2 can be attached to the heat collecting plate 3 only by caulking the pipes 2 into recesses formed in the heat collecting plate 3. Thus, the manufacture can be much simplified.
