Abstract

PURPOSE: To present a water-base dispersion stabilizer which is obtained by adding propylene oxide and ethylene oxide to compound having active hydrogen and which is superior in dispersion effect and is free from hard caking of precipitate.
CONSTITUTION: This is a water-base dispersion stabilizer of hard-to-water-dissolve or water-insoluble fine powder comprising the compound of 50/50W5/95 in the weight ratio of polyoxy propylene chains and polyoxy ethylene chains and 3,000W 100,000 molecular weights, expressed by the general formula [I]. X in the formula is ≥2, Y, Z are integers of ≥1, A is the residual groups after deducting active hydrogen from the active hydrogen compound comprising amino compound or hydroxy compound having 3 or more of active hydrogens, such as ethylene diamine and diethylene triamine. This yields the water-base dispersion stabilizer which is good in dispersibility, is free from formation of any hard cake of precipitate despite long-term storage and is superior in redispersibility.
