Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of tinplate, by forming Fe-Sn alloy layer containing Fe within a specific range, on the interface of steel sheet and tin plated layer of tin plated steel sheet. CONSTITUTION:Fe-Sn layer containing Fe at 45-75% atomic ratio is formed on the interface of steel and tin plated layer of tinplate. At first, the primary tin plating of the steel sheet is performed and deposition of tin is regulated at about <=1.5g/m<2>. Said sheet is heated at >=240 deg.C temperature in nonoxidative atmosphere and desired Fe-Sn alloy layer is obtained. Moreover, Sn is plated on said sheet and reflow treatment is performed. Hereby, the product rapidly improved the corrosion resistance, can be obtained.
