Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform near-end indication and end indication of roll paper by utilizing the sensor which detects the position of a back tension roller for removing curl of a recording paper.
CONSTITUTION: As for the apparatus which detects the position of a back tension roller 3 by means of two sensors S1 and S2, when the recording paper of a roll paper 1 comes to a near end and a sensor S1 for stopping drawing-out detects a roll paper near end indicating light source 13La, the sensor S1 outputs the signal for alarming roll paper near end. When the recording paper of the roll paper 1 is used- up, a sensor S2 for starting drawing-out detects a roll paper end indicating light source 13Lb, and the all system of the apparatus is brought into stop, and roll paper end is indicated. Thus, the apparatus can be constituted in small size, and the labour for printing-out end mark on the roll paper can be omitted.
