Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a patterned FRP molded bathtub stable in excellent productively and at a moderate cost by painting FRP molded bathtub with a patterned nonwoven fabric containing polyester fiber or acrylic fiber.
CONSTITUTION: Painting is applied on an FRP molded bathtub by means of a patterned nonwoven fabric obtained through patterning a nonwoven fabric 3 deniers or below in fiber thickness and 20W50g/m2 in weight, which contains polyester fiber or acrylic fiber at 60% or over. A nonwoven fabric consisting principally of such fiber other than the above, for example, rayon, polypropylene fiber, etc. may give rise to discoloration, bubble, crack, etc. at the time of boiling test on products. Then, a use of such nonwoven fabric as is 3 deniers or above in fiber thickness will cause an overlapped portion to spring up without fitting a die, which is not preferable consequently.
